Left my 15 year old son and myself standing in the rain like we had Ebola. After telling us that “No one is coming in here!”. Nice touch lol. Made our purchase (paint rollers and pan.) Low quality, which if she wouldn’t have hid behind door, I could’ve let her know we were trying to roll drylock. Which ended up breaking the low quality roller in less than 10 minutes. Couldn’t hear a word through the door glass, or sound of pouring rain. Thanks a lot lady! I’ll be sure and use Pile hardware or Smiths from now on. I get that there’s a pandemic, but... you’re open! Act like it and have some customer service or shut down. I’ll drive back to Charleston 100 times over before you see one cent from me again. You earned every bit of this review. congrats.
Prices are reasonable and it's better for Clendenin than patronizing a big box store. Not a huge selection of power tools but otherwise it can replace Lowe's or Home Depot for most purchases.

The selection was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. But the best aspect of Spencer's Hardware was the service. Multiple employees went out of their way to stop what they were doing not only to help us locate what we needed, but also, to simply talk with us and get to know us. This was the kind of great experience that most customers want but can hardly ever find.
